Tongue-Tie (Ankylglossia)

Congenital condition, recognized by an unusually thickened, tightened or shortened frenum, which limits movement of tongue in activities connected with feeding, and which has adverse impact on both dental health and speech.

Untreated infants often cannot effectively lacth to breastfeed, that is why we strive to treat infants as early as possible to aid mothers in their goals to breastfeed.
